Wyoming Wilderness Pack Trips

Our extended horseback pack trips start in June in the Shoshone National Forest, Washakie and Absaroka Wilderness areas west of Cody, WY towards Yellowstone National Park - the most beautiful wilderness in the world.

Let us create a custom trip for you. We cater to small groups or families. We have many different trips to choose from and will build a trip to suit your needs and desires. Most of our trips are from 3-10 days in length.

Camp nestled in the pines

Camp is set up with your comfort in mind. Our guests sleep in clean, dry, roomy tents that you can stand up in and thick, clean foam pads are provided for our guests to sleep on. Summer camp is also provided with an outhouse tent and shower facilities. Top quality sleeping bags are available upon request with a minimal cleaning and handling fee. Cots can also be provided upon request.

We try to take a little of the "rough" out of "roughing" it!

We have many great day rides off of the beaten path for exploring and looking for wildlife. These mountains are so awesome and full of history, it's sometimes nice just to ride to a high spot and ponder on life for a while.

We have big, strong and very well trained horses and mules easing the mind of the novice rider. Everyone will have their own personal horse
for the trip.

After a beautiful ride of exploring secret basins or fishing primitive crystal clear stretches of river, guests can relax around a roaring fire with a cup of coffee or a cocktail and nibble on appetizers. As guests reflect on the daily adventures, the cook prepares meals that consist of big steaks, chicken, pork, pasta, fresh dutch oven breads and desserts with all of the fixing's. The pack string allows us to have fresh produce and meats for some excellent, hearty mountain meals and plenty of it!! We can always work around special diets, just let us know in advance.
